Victoria House Residential and Nursing Home
Victoria House is a 30 bed care home nestled next to St James' Church in the small village of Ryhill, Wakefield.
The home provides residential and nursing care for older people with a wide range of care and multi-complex, high dependency nursing needs.
Victoria House is very much a family, and is a strong, central part of the local community. The home is lovingly furnished in a traditional style, and offers safety, calmness, tranquillity and a homely feel.
About the Home
There is a large TV lounge, smaller quiet lounge and lounge/conservatory. There is also a new recently refurbished dining/conservatory area.
The home has wheelchair and lift access, and all the necessary support equipment such as; mobile hoists, bath hoists, stand-aids and profiling beds.

Food: Nutritionally balanced meals are provided, in our professionally equipped kitchen, to meet all preferences and special dietary requirements. Tea, coffee, juices, water and tasty snacks are also available throughout the day and throughout the night if required.

Activities: A full activities programme is available with group sessions and more bespoke one-to-one sessions available.

Religious & Spiritual needs: All needs will be met, so far as is possible, with local religious leaders welcome to the home to conduct services.

External Healthcare: Appointments can be arranged for: Optician, Dentist, Chiropodist, Hairdresser.

Laundry: These services are provided in full on site.
Victoria House have recently been rated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) as 'Good'
