Oak Lodge Residential Care Home
Oak Lodge is a 28 bed care home located on Stockton Road, just outside Haughton Village in Darlington.
At Oak Lodge, we offer a home from home experience, and and individually tailored bespoke care and support service which is truly centred around the individual persons needs and wishes. We encourage an informal family type atmosphere, with a long standing support team providing support, in a discreet, caring and friendly way.
Our small home feel means our residents get a truly bespoke personal approach, and a familiar friendly face every day providing reassurance and support.
About the Home

The majority of our bedrooms are for single occupancy, however we do also have some rooms which can accommodate couples should they wish to share. Some of our rooms have EN-SUITE FACILITIES. Residents are encouraged to bring their own possessions to dress their room as they prefer, to make it a true home from home.
Oak Lodge has communal lounges and a dining room for our residents who like to join the home community in dining, socialising and activities.
The home has wheelchair and lift access, and all the necessary support equipment such as; mobile hoists, bath hoists, stand-aids and profiling beds. Staff are fully trained and supported to maintain the knowledge and practice in safe use of all equipment.
We have a new management structure in place who are dedicated to providing high end care yet making the care home feel like each individuals own home. The home has received a renovation programme and is always looking to improve on quality and service.

Food: Nutritionally balanced meals are provided, in our professionally equipped kitchen, to meet all preferences and special dietary requirements. Tea, coffee, juices, water and tasty snacks are also available throughout the day and throughout the night if required.

Activities: A full activities programme is available with group sessions and more bespoke one-to-one sessions available.

Religious & Spiritual needs: All needs will be met, so far as is possible, with local religious leaders welcome to the home to conduct services.

External Healthcare: Appointments can be arranged for: Optician, Dentist, Chiropodist, Hairdresser.

A 10min tour of our Oak Lodge Care Home can be conducted via zoom, facetime or WhatsApp. In the tour, we will show every essential part of the home which will include the entrance, lounge, canteen, bedrooms etc. Whatever you want to see in our care home, we will do our best to show you.
