Stockingate Residential and Dementia Care Home
Stockingate is a 25 bed care home situated in the heart of the former coal-mining town of South Kirkby, Pontefract.
This tranquil location is well served by local amenities like local GP Surgeries, Pharmacy, and is only a few minutes walk from Church of All Saints. The home provides a calm friendly and informal support for residents to feel as home as possible with support designed with our residents to meet personal needs and aspirations.
About the Home
The home has communal spaces which are both relaxing and interesting with murals and colourfull artwork to brighten and provide interesting talking points to stimulate conversation.
There is a large TV lounge and smaller quiet lounge available. We also have a separate dining room, although residents can choose to have meals privately in their rooms, should they wish.
The home has wheelchair and lift access, and all the necessary support equipment such as; mobile hoists, bath hoists, stand-aids.
The large secure garden to the rear of the home has seats and a short looped pathway which enables residents, friends and family to enjoy the open space - weather permitting of course!

Food: Nutritionally balanced meals are provided, in our professionally equipped kitchen, to meet all preferences and special dietary requirements. Tea, coffee, juices, water and tasty snacks are also available throughout the day and throughout the night if required.

Activities: A full activities programme is available with group sessions and more bespoke one-to-one sessions available.

Religious & Spiritual needs: All needs will be met, so far as is possible, with local religious leaders welcome to the home to conduct services.
